Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright moved up his official visit to Washington from late May to this weekend because he wanted to get on campus and see what the Huskies were about.

Originally from the Tempe area, he had been heavily recruited by Jedd Fisch and his staff at Arizona before they moved up to Seattle. That relationship transferred seamlessly.

Vines-Bright was considered a handful of other schools, but on Sunday he shut down his recruitment and committed to the Huskies.

“Just being on the visit, I was getting to know his Coach Fisch more and more. And even though I’ve had a relationship with him at Arizona, I’m getting to see he’s the real deal. He knows what he’s talking about, and he is a guy I want to be around. And the whole coaching staff is very family oriented, and it just felt like home to me.”

That relationship was paramount, as Vines-Bright immediately felt comfortable with Fisch and wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings, his primary recruiter in Tucson.

“I think it helped a lot just because I already had a relationship. So going in, it’s not like I’m meeting new people. I know everyone there so, you know, that helped a lot,” he said. “It’s a different feel for sure up there [than Arizona]. But the campus is beautiful and it’s surrounded by the city. There’s just a lot going on, there’s a lot of culture, and I just love being up there.”

Vines-Bright is excited about Washington’s high-flying offense

The Huskies are coming off a national championship game appearance under Kalen DeBoer, and Vines-Bright thinks that Fisch can have similar success to that as they move to the Big Ten.

He has seen what that staff did with the likes of Jacob Cowing and Tetairoa McMillan, and he wants to be the next in a line of star receivers.

“I think he’s gonna do some great things, especially with his offense,” Vines-Bright said. “They just had two 1,000-yard receivers, so that’s like a dream for a receiver obviously. And then to have a quarterback like Demond Williams, I have a really good relationship with him already, and it’s just gonna continue to build.”

Now with his commitment out of the way, he can focus on his senior season at IMG Academy and not have to worry about his recruitment. He came into the visit feeling strongly about the Huskies’ program, but this made him feel confident it’s the right choice.

“I did feel like I was going to commit during the visit, but it just solidified everything,” he added. “My recruitment is shut down now.”

The 6-foot, 190-pounder is the No. 149 overall prospect and No. 18 wide receiver in the 2025 class, according to the On300 rankings.
