Arizona defensive back transfer Ephesians Prysock commits to Washington
Arizona defensive back Ephesians Prysock has committed to Washington out of the NCAA transfer portal.
He will follow head coach Jedd Fisch to Arizona, the latest of a handful of former Wildcats players to announce their intentions to do just that. Fisch took the Washington job when Kalen DeBoer left to take the Alabama job, which was vacated with Nick Saban‘s sudden retirement this offseason.
Prysock entered the transfer portal on Jan. 17 and took a little more than a week to make his decision.
His transfer will give Washington an experienced defensive back, one that Fisch already knows he can rely on in the back end.
In his two seasons, Ephesians Prysock recorded 80 total tackles, with 55 of those tackles solo tackles. He also defended seven passes and had an interception during the 2023 season.
He becomes the fourth Arizona player to join Washington this offseason via the transfer portal, along with quarterback Demond Williams Jr., running back Jonah Coleman and cornerback Jordan Shaw. That haul is a significant one for Fisch as he looks to try to keep the Washington program elevated at a high level.

Coleman, in particular, is a huge get.
The Arizona running back is coming off a season in which he rushed for 871 yards and five touchdowns, while also racking up 283 receiving yards and another score.
He should immediately help pace the Washington ground game, which must replace the Pac-12’s second-leading rusher, Dillon Johnson. Johnson announced earlier this month that he’s off to the NFL Draft.
Williams is also a key addition for the Huskies, a hand-picked quarterback by Fisch that opted to follow him to his next stop.
Throw in Prysock and Shaw and the Huskies also have some immediate help in the secondary.
Washington figures to go into a little bit of a rebuilding mode after losing plenty of talent off the 2023 national runners-up squad. While the program has taken in 10 transfers this offseason, it has also lost 26, with a handful of those players opting to follow DeBoer to Alabama.
