Four-Star CB Caleb Presley flips from Oregon to Washington

Four-star cornerback Caleb Presley of Sammamish (WA) Rainier Beach flipped his commitment from Oregon to Washington Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 180 pounder had been committed to the Ducks since July.
Presley on why he chose Washington
“What stood out about UW was the atmosphere of playing with all my family in attendance,” Presley said. “There’s no place like home they say and I really felt that to be true in my case.”
Relationship with coaching staff + how they plan on using him
“I feel like I already built a family with the whole staff. I’m really close with Deboer, Juice, Morell, Inge . We feel like a family. They plan on using me as the main shutdown corner to make plays on the ball in man to man coverage.

Caleb Presley Scouting Summary
“Two-way player that possesses natural ball skills at receiver and corner, while projecting on defense long-term,” On3’s Director of Scouting Charles Power. “Smooth mover that has the ability to stick his foot in the ground and break on the ball with ease. Technical corner that has fluid movement skills. Looks comfortable and patient in coverage and does not play out of control. Has good length, with a 6-foot-4 wing-span at around 6-feet in height. Long speed appears strong but not elite. Ran an electronically-timed 4.62 40 in 2020 as a freshman. Shows more twitch and wiggle than long speed as a return man for kickoff and punt. Need to see him add some mass to a leaner athletic frame in order to reach his max potential at the next level.”
Presley ranks as the No. 161 player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting sites. He also tabs in as the No. 18 cornerback and the No. 1 player in the state of Washington.
