Giles Jackson, Asa Turner to return from injury for Washington vs. Oregon
Washington will have wide receiver Giles Jackson and safety Asa Turner back from injury to take on Oregon Saturday, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
The two are key cogs on both sides of the football for the Huskies. In fact, Washington will need everything it can get against the Ducks, a Pac-12 rival, in this top 10 matchup.
But Jackson and Turner’s return should give the home team a boost.
“Sources: Washington will get two key players back against Oregon,” Thamel wrote on Twitter. “Senior WR Giles Jackson, who started 5 games last year, is expected to play for the first time this year. Senior safety Asa Turner will return after an upper body injury against Tulsa on Sept 9. Neither will start.”
In 13 total games lsat season, Jackson finished with 28 catches, 328 yards, one touchdown and 11.7 yards per catch. Over the course of his career, Jackson has 60 catches for 724 yards, two touchdowns and 12.1 yards per catch.

As a member of the Class of 2019, Jackson was a four-star recruit out of Oakley (Calif.) Freedom, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 34 overall prospect in the state, the No. 39 wide receiver in the class and the No. 233 overall prospect in the class.
Along with Jackson, Turner is back as well. He only played in two games so far this season, registering six tackles. Over the course of his career, Turner has 126 total tackles, 84 solo tackles, seven tackles for loss, six interceptions and two pass deflections.

High, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 42 overall prospect in the state, the No. 31 safety in the class and the No. 297 overall prospect in the class.
