Keion Brooks made the most of his new opportunity after transferring to Washington last offseason through the portal. Now, it looks like he isn’t done with the Huskies yet based on his latest announcement.

In a video he posted on social media, Brooks linked up with former Husky guard Brandon Roy who narrated in a clip filled with highlights of both of their times in Seattle. Then, at the end, Brooks gave a very definitive statement of ‘I’m back’ to announce he’d be returning to Washington for his fifth season of college basketball.

Brooks spent the first three seasons of his college career at Kentucky. He arrived in Lexington as a four-star prospect and Top-25 recruit nationally in the 2019 class per On3’s Industry Rankings. Over his 80 games as a Wildcat, he averaged 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in over 21 minutes a game. Brooks became a far more substantial contributor as a sophomore and junior though.

With that said, Brooks needed a change of scenery, which is why he entered the portal and eventually ended up at Washington. In his first season in the Pac-12, he fit right in. He led Washington in scoring on a career-high 17.7 points per game while grabbing 6.7 rebounds in over 35 minutes a contest. That production in his 30 games as a full-time starter earned him honors on the All Pac-12 Second Team.

Now, ahead of his fifth year, the Washington faithful can hope for more of the same, or better, with Brooks back in the fold. He made the most of his first year as a Husky and fully intends to best it in his second one by posting similar numbers and trying to get Mike Hopkins and the program back in the NCAA Tournament.

Washington PG Noah Williams enters NCAA transfer portal

Washington point guard Noah Williams has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3’s Jamie Shaw has confirmed. Williams is listed as a senior on the Huskies’ roster but is not a graduate transfer in the portal meaning he will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Before spending the 2022 seasons at Washington, he began his career at Washington State where he played for three seasons. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 8.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Huskies this season.

Williams is a former three-star recruit out of O Dea (WA) High School, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
