On300 safety T.J. Hall decommits from Washington
Fresno (Calif.) San Joaquin Memorial safety T.J. Hall has decommitted from Washington, announcing the news Sunday on Twitter.
“First off I would like to thank (defensive backs coach Will Harris), (assistant defensive backs coach Terrance Brown), (defensive program assistant Colin Lockett) and the entire (Washington) staff for recruiting me and giving me an opportunity to play at the next level,” Hall said. “Now after rethinking and having conversations with my family, I have decided that it is best for me to decommit from the University of Washington to make the best decision for my future.”
His decommitment comes only a week after the Huskies fired head coach Jimmy Lake.
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Hall as the No. 643 overall recruit in the country.
On3 is much higher on the 6-foot-1 defensive back, grading Hall as a four-star recruit and the No. 152 overall prospect in the country.
Hall originally committed to the Huskies in July when he flipped from Arizona. He was committed to the Wildcats for only a few weeks.

Washington was ranked No. 31 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking before Hall’s decommitment and now slot in at No. 34.
The Huskies now have only nine commits in their 2022 recruiting class with Olympia (Wash.) Tumwater four-star tight end Ryan Otton and Henderson (Nev.) Liberty four-star wide receiver Germie Bernard leading the way.
With Lake’s dismissal and the future of the program in flux as athletic director Jen Cohen searches for his replacement, Hall might not be the only player to decommit from the school.
