Washington basketball injury updates: Luis Kortright, Chris Conway timelines
Danny Sprinkle recently updated the statuses of two of his many new players at Washington.
Following the Huskies’ exhibition win over Western Oregon, Sprinkle had the latest on Luis Kortright and Chris Conway. He began with Conway who is out for the foreseeable future with the injury he has.
“Yeah, Chris is kind of out, kind of indefinitely right now, you know, with his injury,” said Sprinkle.
Conway transferred in this offseason after four seasons at Oakland. In that time, he appeared in 109 games, 66 of those being starts, where he had an average of five points and two and a half rebounds while having a field-goal percentage of 57%. That included his career-best season last year where he posted 10 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.
Then was Kortright who Sprinkle noted was in concussion protocol after a hit to the head.
“Then, Luis? I don’t know. You know, he got knocked in the head a little bit,” said Sprinkle. “So, you know, just to play it safe, you know, he’s kind of in his protocol right now.”
Kortright also transferred after a year at Rhode Island following his first three at Quinnipiac. He has averaged 8.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in his 103 outings with the two teams. With the Rams last season, he posted 10 points, four rebounds, and 3.7 assists as a full-time starter.
