2025 TE Baron Naone commits to Washington
West Linn (Ore.) three-star tight end Baron Naone has committed to Washington, he announced on Monday.
The one-time Oregon State commit chose the Huskies while also holding offers from the likes of California, Arizona, Arizona State and Tennessee.
Naone is the No. 730 overall prospect and No. 44 TE in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked prospect in Oregon.
The 6-foot-2.5, 225-pounder logged official visits to Oregon State, Arizona State and Cal before heading up to Seattle for his final OV over the weekend. Jedd Fisch and the Huskies have now added another piece on the offensive side of the ball this cycle.

Naone is pledge No. 6 for Fisch and his staff this month. The highlight addition came on June 13 in the form of San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian four-star interior offensive lineman Champ Taulealea. The No. 260 overall prospect, the 6-foot-4, 35-pounder is a top-20 recruit on the interior.
He became the second four-star to join the class, following Tempe (Ariz.) IMG Academy four-star wide receiver Raiden Vines-Bright, a top-300 recruit and top-40 wideout overall.
“Just being on the visit, I was getting to know his Coach Fisch more and more. And even though I’ve had a relationship with him at Arizona, I’m getting to see he’s the real deal. He knows what he’s talking about, and he is a guy I want to be around,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons upon his commitment. “And the whole coaching staff is very family oriented, and it just felt like home to me.”
A pair of quarterbacks are pledged in Temecula (Calif.) Mater Dei three-star Dash Beierly and Mililani (Hawaii) three-star Treston McMillan. Three more California prospects help round out the class: San Juan Capistrano J Serra Catholic three-star IOL Jake Flores, Danville Monta Vista three-star running back Julian McMahan and Menlo Park Atherton three-star EDGE Devin Hyde.
