The 2022 college football season is only a few short weeks away and college football fans across the country are gearing up for what should be yet another glorious fall. The Washington Huskies decided to give their fan base and their players something to be fired up about on Sunday night, unveiling a video on Twitter with some beautiful white, gold, and purple uniforms designed by Adidas. The school has dubbed the uniforms as the “Husky Royalty Uniforms” and they will wear them on the road.

Check them out.

The particular road game that Washington will wear these uniforms in, has not yet been announced, per a press release from the school. Adidas will also offer a retail product available for fans to purchase as the season gets closer. According to the release, the information on the retail product will be made available soon.

The white jerseys with the gold numbers and the purple have a sharp look to them. They really pop and the gold numbers with the gold and purple chrome helmets are a nice combination. The video was well done. It’s going to be exciting to watch Washington rock these uniforms this fall.

The Washington Huskies‘ quarterback competition is in full swing with less than a few weeks to go before the season opener versus Kent State on Sept. 3. Head coach Kalen DeBoer attempted to split reps between his three quarterbacks – at least for the first week of fall camp.

DeBoer discusses state of Washington QB competition

Diving into the biggest decision of the offseason, DeBoer recently broke down his top three quarterbacks.

Michael Penix comes to us from Indiana where I coached with him for one year,” DeBoer said. “Systematically he understands what we do. That was an easy transition for him during spring ball. You see him being able to coach guys up and being a little more confident in that.

Dylan [Morris], I have only got the 15 practices to go off of and the film,” DeBoer continued. “But he’s taken a lot of snaps in a Husky uniform. It’s cool hearing the guys that are on the team and hearing them talk about how much they see Dylan’s improvement from last year already to where we’re at now. That’s only going to continue to happen and develop.

“Then you got the up-and-comer. You got Sam Huard. Took a few snaps last year or last year. His ceiling, he’s probably the furthest away from his ceiling because he’s younger, hasn’t taken as many snaps that the other two have. Every day his growth is the one that probably will continue to be the most extreme each and every day.”

Huard was one of the highest rated prospects in the country coming out of high school and entered the Washington program as the No. 15 prospect in the nation, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings for the 2021 cycle.
