Washington forward Wilhelm Breidenbach has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He averaged 4.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.4 assists for the Huskies during the 2024-25 season.

Breidenbach played high school basketball at Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 109 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Prior to his two seasons with Washington, Breidenbach played two years with Nebraska. He appeared in 42 games total for the Cornhuskers, averaging 3.6 points during the 2022-23 season for the Big Ten program.

Time will tell where Wilhelm Breidenbach ends up playing his college basketball next season. Wherever it is, he’s hoping to find sustained success, and make a major impact during the 2025-26 season.

More on the Washington Huskies, NCAA Transfer Portal

Meanwhile, Washington Huskies small forward Dominique Diomande has also entered the Transfer Portal, On3’s Jamie Shaw learned. This comes after he redshirted the 2024-25 season as a freshman.

Diomande came to Washington as a bit of a surprise recruiting win. The Ivory Coast native who list Tours, France as his hometown is considered a future NBA prospect. He played in 26 games for ADA Blois of the France-ProA U21 league where he averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.

He would join the Washington program in January as a walk-on. At the time, it was a surprise boost for the Huskies. However, he never ended up seeing the court before deciding to move on from the program and look for a new team. Prior to that decision to redshirt, Washington head coach Danny Sprinkle debated whether or not to play him.

The 2024-25 season was a year of transition for Washington. As a result, it was also a frustrating one on the court. The Huskies made the move to the Big Ten and brought in Danny Sprinkle to be the team’s new head coach.

Despite Sprinkle leading Montana State in his final two seasons there and Utah State in his only season there to the NCAA Tournament, the Huskies struggled going 13-18 overall and 4-16 in Big Ten play. That was last place in the conference regular season standings.
