Washington might have gotten throttled 40-13 in the Apple Cup between Washington State and Washington, but Huskies’ receiver Rome Odunze made one of the best catches of the college football season.

Watch below as Odunze rotates his body in mid-air to pull in an epic one-handed snag from quarterback Sam Huard.

The 16-yard touchdown catch cut the Washington State lead to 30-13 with less than 12 minutes remaining in the game.

The picture of Odunze’s catch is already up on Washington’s Twitter page.

What an unreal grab by Odunze.

He’s a freshman out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Bishop Gorman has one of the most prestigious high school football programs in America.

The Gaels were National Champions in 2014, 2015 and 2016. They’ve also won the Nevada state title an amazing 17 times in their program’s history.

According to the On3 Consensus rankings, Odunze was rated as a four-star prospect coming out of high school. He was rated as the 193rd overall prospect in America and the second best prospect in the state of Nevada in the 2020 recruiting cycle.
