4-star TE Riley Williams picks up Washington State offer
Washington State has entered the mix for one of the top 2023 players from the Pacific Northwest, four-star tight end Riley Williams out of Portland (Ore.) Central.
Williams is the No. 86 recruit in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He is ranked even higher by On3 as he slots in at No. 33 overall in the 2023 On300, which makes him the second-highest rated tight end in the class behind Phoenix Pinnacle four-star tight end Duce Robinson.

Williams has an NIL Valuation of $14,700. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said Williams has a shot at being the No. 1 tight end in the 2023 cycle.
“We were very impressed with Williams’ junior video,” Power said. “He’s dominating at the catch point and coming down with impressive one-handed grabs while also showing ability after the catch. We also see Williams make plays on defense as a pass rusher. Both Robinson and Williams are big, athletic targets in the pass game. It should be fun to track those two over the next year.”
The Cougars have zero commits in the 2023 cycle.
