Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge quarterback Adryan Lara has decommitted from Washington State, he announced on Twitter Thursday.

Lara is the No. 705 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 40 quarterback and the No. 9 prospect in Arizona.

“I’d first like to thank the entire Washington State staff and family for everything,” Lara wrote. “I have not ruled them out at all in my recruitment. With that being said after conversations with my family and particular consideration, I have decided to reopen my recruitment.”

Lara committed to the Cougars in September 2020 under former head coach Nick Rolovich. He picked Washington State over offers from Iowa State, Kansas and Oregon State.
