2024 WR Jay'Quan Bostic decommits from West Virginia Mountaineers
Cincinnati Taft three-star wide receiver Jay’Quan Bostic has decommitted from the West Virginia Mountaineers, he told On3.
Bostic, Ohio’s No. 34 prospect, originally pledged to West Virginia on July 3 after a pair of visits to Morgantown. West Virginia offered Bostic on December 8 last year and built a strong relationship with the pass-catcher.
Now, Bostic will reconsider his options.
I am opening my recruitment back up completely,” Bostic told On3. “I have been thinking about it for a while. It is just best for me to open back up.”
Bostic was originally planning to sign his National Letter of Intent next month before enrolling in college early come January. Those plans are now likely on hold.

“I was planning to sign in December and to graduate early, but now, I might wait until February,” Bostic said. “I want to take my time, take some visits and make the decision. I will probably play basketball, keep training and sign in February now.”
Schools on the table include North Carolina State and Louisville — programs he has begun talking with despite not yet holding offers.
“I have just started talking to NC State and Louisville,” Bostic said. “They like my film and what I can do in the secondary, so they are going to see if they want to offer. I have offers from Toledo, Bowling Green and Michigan State. I have been talking to them, too”
