Gaithersburg (Md.) Good Counsel three-star offensive tackle Eidan Buchanan has committed to the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Buchanan is the nation’s No. 925 overall prospect, No. 58 offensive tackle and No. 28 recruit from Maryland in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Buchanan is the fifth prospect to join West Virginia’s 2025 class. Hurricane (W.V.) three-star wide receiver Tyshawn Dues, Mentor (Ohio) three-star quarterback Scotty Fox, Huntington (W.V.) athlete Zah Jackson and Haverford (Pa.) interior offensive lineman Thomas Barr are all pledged to the Mountaineers.

“It’s going to come down to how much of a priority I am to the team,” said Davis, the No. 102 overall prospect and No. 7 running back in the 2025 On300. “I am looking at a school to see if I will come in as a priority.”

There are still multiple months until Davis announces his college destination. Yet each of his top schools are working very hard to land him.

“Some schools talk to me more about things outside of football and becoming a better person,” Davis said. “That’s what I like to hear because it isn’t all about football. But at the same time, it is. Some schools give their pitch. Every running backs coach that I speak with has a different personality.”
