The West Virginia Mountaineers men’s basketball team is losing guard Sean McNeil to the transfer portal. According to ESPN College Basketball expert Jeff Borzello, the senior from Union, KY, elected to enter the portal this Monday afternoon.

“ West Virginia guard Sean McNeil has entered the transfer portal. Averaged 12.2 points the last two seasons and shot 37% from 3 during his time with the Mountaineers, wrote Borzello via Twitter.

McNeil has spent the entirety of his collegiate career at West Virginia. Over the years, he has established himself as a quality shooter from deep and the free-throw line. In fact, diving deeper into McNeil’s numbers, the majority of his shots on the floor come from 3 point range. He leaves West Virginia with a career percentage mark of 36.8 from beyond the arc and 86.1 from the charity stripe.
