West Virginia offers 2024 3-star QB KJ Jackson
Montgomery (Ala.) St James School three-star quarterback KJ Jackson received an offer from West Virginia on Thursday. He announced the news over social media.
James is the No. 430 overall prospect and No. 31 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 21 player in Alabama.
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound signal-caller told On3’s Chad Simmons that he wants to visit UCF, Duke and Penn State and Kentucky in the coming weeks. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race between Ole Miss (38.5%) and Penn State (33.7%) for his commitment.
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

“I feel like I’m still a bit away, but it’ll come sooner than later,” Jackson told Simmons about his decision. “I feel like next spring to early summer is when I’ll probably commit…”
West Virginia’s 2024 recruiting class contains two commitments. They are Philadelphia Camden three-star defensive lineman Wink James Jr. and Camden (N.J.) three-star defensive lineman Richard James Jr.
Jackson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $33K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
