West Virginia transfer forward Jalen Bridges – who averaged 8.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game on 42.8% shooting from the field last season – is set to visit three schools that could be potential landing spots for him, according to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein.

As Rothstein reports, Bridges – a former On3 Consensus four-star recruit – is scheduled to visit Alabama from April 15-17 and Baylor from April 18-19. He is also planning to take a trip to East Lansing to visit Michigan State sometime.

A Fairmont, West Virginia native, Bridges played in 61 career games at West Virginia and made 52 starts – including all 33 during the 2021-2022 season. He entered the NCAA Transfer Portal back on March 16.

Bridges held plenty of scholarship offers coming out of Fairmont High School, including from schools such as Ohio State, Indiana, Miami and Oklahoma State, but the forward decided to stay close to home and play for the Mountaineers.

Former South Carolina shooting guard Erik Stevenson announces transfer to West Virginia

Fifth-year senior Erik Stevenson has bounced around a number of colleges across the college basketball landscape and on Sunday afternoon officially announced he will transfer to the West Virginia Mountaineers. It will be his fourth stop in college basketball, as he has suited up for Wichita StateWashington and South Carolina in the past.

“I chose WVU because of the style of play and the culture that Huggs (Bob Huggins) has up there,” Stevenson explained to On3’s Joe Tipton. “I feel like that’s the best fit for me for my last year of eligibility. Playing for a Hall of Fame coach is something special as well. Also, I have family up in that area. Playing in the Big-12 is going to be a challenge every night that I look forward too.”

He entered the transfer portal last month and chose the Mountaineers over interest from ArkansasAuburn, and Creighton. This past season for the Gamecocks, Stevenson averaged 11.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 36.9 percent from the field.
