4-star RB Dilin Jones commits to Wisconsin Badgers

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel four-star running back Dilin Jones has announced his commitment to the Wisconsin Badgers

Jones is the No. 184 overall prospect and No. 15 running back in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Maryland.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Jones took his official visit to Wisconsin in June. He had taken previous unofficial visits to Penn State. Jones holds offers from numerous Power 5 programs including Michigan, Florida, Oregon, Notre Dame, Florida State, Miami and Auburn.

Jones currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $74K. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Jones joins rising Wisconsin recruiting class

With the addition of Dilin Jones, the Badgers jumped to No. 22 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Jones is the highest-rated player in the class and the third running back to commit to the Badgers. Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel three-star running back Darrion Dupree committed to Wisconsin last week. Gaithersburg (Md.) three-star running back Gideon Ituka committed in June.

Jones is the fourth blue-chip prospect to pledge to Luke Fickell’s staff. He joins Royersford (Pa.) Pope John Paul II four-star offensive tackle Kevin Heywood, Algonquin (Ill.) Harry D. Jacobs four-star tight end Grant Stec and Saint Paul (Minn.) Irondale four-star interior offensive lineman Emerson Mandell.
