2024 WR Austin Alexander decommits from Wisconsin

Hazel Crest (Ill.) wide receiver Austin Alexander announced his decommitment from Wisconsin on Wednesday. He had been previously pledged to the Badgers since Oct. 31.
Alexander is not ranked in the 2024 On3 Consensus or the 2024 On300. He is 6-foot-1 and weighs 165 pounds.
“Me and my family had a long talk about my commitment To wisconsin and we feel as though it’s best to decommit from Wisconsin and open up my recruitment while I’m getting to know the new coaching staff and other schools,” Alexander wrote in a statement published to Twitter. “Wisconsin is a great school and I hope to still be recruited by Wisconsin. Please respect my decision.”

The Woodlands (Texas) four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer is now the only player in Wisconsin’s 2024 recruiting class. Mettauer chose the Badgers and new head coach Luke Fickell on Dec. 24.
Alexander has an On3 NIL Valuation of $11.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
