CBS scorebug hilariously goes crazy following made 3-pointer during Wisconsin vs. BYU

An intense battle is brewing in Denver as BYU and Wisconsin are fighting for a spot in the Sweet Sixteen. Two of college basketball’s best offenses are battling, with both teams currently on pace to get near the century mark. Shots continue to fall all over the court but mainly from three.
However, the CBS scorebug might think a little too highly of Wisconsin’s offense. A hilarious moment was produced thanks to a graphic error in the first half, giving the Badgers an absurd amount of points.
A made three-pointer meant Wisconsin cut the BYU lead to 11, 38-27. But after the three points were added to the graphic, the number continued to go up. The Badgers had 225 points before the scorebug was taken off the screen.
Play continued for a few seconds and after showing a replay, everything was back to normal with the correct score. You can check out the full moment here.
Flash forward to the second half and a lot more points are on the board — in a legitimate fashion. Wisconsin might be hoping they get all 225 of those considering how well BYU is currently shooting the ball.
Every season, March Madness brings something hilarious to the table not really related to the game. This was certainly a great moment and maybe a place where BYU and Wisconsin fans can laugh in what can be a stressful situation for them.

BYU loses player due to thrown elbow at Wisconsin groin
BYU is looking to break a long drought and finally break through to the Sweet Sixteen. Holding on to a 10-point lead at the under-four media timeout, a potentially huge swing has gone in favor of Wisconsin. A Flagrant 2 foul has been assessed to Dawson Baker, kicking him out of the game.
Baker was being trapped by two Wisconsin defenders and attempting to get out. While holding the ball, he did use his elbows with the presumed attempt of making space. But Baker wound up making contact with the groin with a Badgers’ player.
CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore went on to explain how there is no middle ground with this kind of play. Either no call is made or the play is upgraded to a Flagrant 2 with a technical. The officials cannot call a Flagrant 1, the determination is made by the intent of the elbows on replay.
“When you have contact to the groin area, by rule, if that contact is not ruled clearly accidental, then they have no option to go Flagrant 1,” Steratore said. “They have to go with a Flagrant 2 foul.”
