2024 NCAA Wrestling Championships: Eric Barnett gets first pin of tournament
Wisconsin’s Eric Barnett wasted no time during Session 1 of the 2024 NCAA Wrestling Championships, getting a pin in 45 seconds over South Dakota State’s Tanner Jordan.
Barnett, the No. 10 seed, is an All-American candidate once again in the wild west of a 125 pound bracket. He got his championship aspirations off to a great start Thursday afternoon.
The pin can be seen below.
Barnett is 27-6 on the season and will take on NC State’s Jakob Camacho (No. 7) in the Round of 16 on the championship side. That will take place beginning at 7:00 p.m ET during Session 2.
