Wisconsin is expected to hire former Badgers and NFL offensive lineman Al Johnson to its staff, sources tell On3.

Johnson, a 2002 Rimington Award finalist and 2003 second-round NFL draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys, had been the head coach at D2 East Central in Oklahoma since 2018. Johnson led the team to a 7-4 record last season.

East Central is set to name offensive coordinator/assistant head coach Kris McCullough its interim head coach, a source tells On3. At 26, McCullough will be the youngest acting head coach in college football.

The Johnson and McCullough news was first reported by Football Scoop.
