After missing one game following an injury to his right ankle last week, Wisconsin’s Max Klesmit is doing much better to start this one.

Greg Gard provided an update on Klesmit while speaking to the media on Monday. Gard said that he returned to practice on Sunday and fully practiced on Monday with him having gotten healthier for the Badgers.

“Yeah, he practiced somewhat yesterday and then he was, um, back going pretty much full blast today,” said Gard. “So, um, we’ll see how he responds but I think he’s feeling better and better every day.”

Klesmit hurt the ankle late in the team’s dozen-point win at Rutgers on Monday last week. He exited with the help of a trainer and would go on to miss their following game in a 21-point win over Minnesota on Friday.

Klesmit, a fifth-year senior, is one of the leading guards in the Badgers’ backcourt. He’s averaging 10.5 points with 3.0 assists and 1.1 steals, both of which are team-highs, along with 1.9 rebounds.

Now, Klesmit could return to play as early tonight when No. 24 Wisconsin hosts Ohio State tonight in the Kohl Center.
