4-star DL Ernest Willor commits to Wisconsin Badgers
Baltimore Concordia Prep four-star defensive lineman Ernest Willor has committed to Wisconsin, he tells On3.
He chose the Badgers over Ohio State, Maryland, Miami, Virginia Tech and others.
“My official visit to Wisconsin was important in my decision,” he said. “When I was on the visit and I saw practice and met with some of the players, that is when I realized this is where I want to be. They were the people I wanted to be around after visiting with the staff, hanging with the players and watching the team practice.”
Willor’s recruitment stayed lowkey throughout the fall, but the Badgers got involved down the stretch, got him to Madison for an official visit at the beginning of December and have now landed one of the highest-ranked prospects left on the board in the cycle.
“Wisconsin wants to move me all over the defensive line,” he added. “They see me going from a 3-tech on one drive to the 9-tech on the next. Then lining up at the 0-tech too. They see me as a versatile defensive lineman, and Coach Scruggs knows the importance of being versatile. He wants me to learn how to and playing multiple techniques is the best way to learn.”

He also loves the opportunity to play in the Big Ten, compete for championships and get on the field early and often in Madison.
“I chose Wisconsin because of my relationship with Coach Scruggs and the chance to build a culture and lead guys to a national championship. The chance to get on the field early helped Wisconsin too.”
Willor is the No. 142 overall prospect and No. 15 DL in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Maryland.
