Wisconsin forward Chris Hodges has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He spent the last three seasons with the Badgers, making 40 appearances from 2022 through 2025.

Hodges played high school basketball at Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 119 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

While he didn’t end up making a major impact with Wisconsin, perhaps moving away from the Badgers will do Hodges some good. We’ll see if he can find more success at his next stop in college basketball, after entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.

More on the Wisconsin Badgers, NCAA Transfer Portal

In addition to Hodges, Wisconsin guard Camren Hunter has also entered the portal. Hunter will be going through the portal process for the second consecutive offseason, spending just one season with the Badgers.

Hunter did not play too much for Wisconsin this past season. Just 11 appearances resulted in him scoring a total of three points. He shot 12.5% from the field with his lone make being a three-point attempt against Iowa during Big Ten play.

Wherever Hunter winds up next, he will be hoping to make a bigger impact. After finding success in his first two seasons at Central Arkansas, the potential is certainly there.

Honors flooded in for Hunter back as a freshman and sophomore, winning A-Sun Rookie of the Year in 2022 before earning third-team all-conference the following year. There was a gap between games played for him due to an injury. Hunter took a redshirt for the 2023-2024 season before leaving the program.

The numbers with Central Arkansas look better, too. Hunter averaged 15.5 points per game with the Bears, adding five rebounds and 3.7 assists. His field goal percentage was well over 40%, proving he can be an efficient offensive player.
