WATCH: Wisconsin guard Chucky Hepburn swishes half-court buzzer beater before halftime
Wisconsin guard Chucky Hepburn is quickly starting to develop a reputation as someone you can count on to hit a clutch shot. With the Badgers trailing 37-31 on Tuesday against Wake Forest, Hepburn darted up the court with three seconds remaining before halftime, stopping at half court to pull up for a last-second shot.
The ball fell through the hoop without appearing to touch the rim, sending Wisconsin into the locker room down just 37-34 and with all the momentum in the world. The shot was Hepburn’s third made 3-pointer of the game, and he led the Badgers with 12 points at halftime.
This was far from the first buzzer beater for Chucky Hepburn, as he also famously hit a game-winning shot to claim the Big Ten regular season championship last season. Earlier this year, he also hit a long 3-pointer before the half in a contest against South Dakota.
