Wisconsin quarterback Nick Evers plans to enter NCAA Transfer Portal
Spring practices are winding down for college football programs across the country. That means some players will opt to find new homes for the 2024 season. And that is exactly what Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Nick Evers plans on doing.
On Saturday, Evers took to social media to announce that he plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal. He did so with this message attached.
“One of the lessons I have learned throughout my college career thus far is that the ability to overcome adversity is often the true marker of a person’s ability to achieve success. I’m confident in my ability to do this as my journey in college continues,” said Evers via X.

“Reflecting on my time at Madison, I’ll look back at it as a place of immense growth for me both on and off the field. For that, I am truly thankful to coach Fickell and the entire staff for that growth.”
“I’ll miss many things about Madison, but none more than the fans and my brothers in the locker room. The bonds that I have made during my stay here will be forever cherished and held close to my heart. Because of you, I’ll look back at my time here with pride! With utmost respect to the University of Wisconsin, I would like to announce my intent to enter my name into the transfer portal with three years of immediate eligibility remaining.”
