Malaki Starks

Malaki Starks arrived at Georgia in the 2022 recruiting class as the nation's No. 1 safety recruit and a top-10 overall prospect, according to the On3 Industry Rating. He earned that lofty ranking largely because he can do a little bit of everything. At Jefferson (Georgia) High School, he starred as a triple-option quarterback who played both ways. Plus, he was a state champion in track with a long jump of 23 feet, 7 inches. He also had a personal best 100-meter time of 10.55 seconds. It didn't take long for Starks to make an impact in Athens. He earned all-league and freshman All-America status after finishing third on the team in tackles and leading the Bulldogs in pass breakups. He entered the 2023 season as a preseason All-SEC and first-team AP All-America honoree. Starks lists basketball and fishing as his hobbies. His parents are Larry and Martisha, and his sister is Mariah.
