Abby Heiskell
Personal Life
Originally from Waxhaw (North Carolina) Marvin Ridge High School, Abby Heiskell is one of the top gymnasts in the college ranks. She is returning to Michigan for the 2022-2023 season as a super-senior. In the 2021-2022 season, Heiskell played a part in the Wolverines winning the Big Ten championship and she was a two-time WCGA All-America second-team pick on all-around and uneven bars. Heiskell is a three-time Big Ten individual champion (all-around, uneven bars and floor exercise). As a junior, Heiskell led the Wolverines to the national championship. She was clutch at the national championship as she stood alone on the beam and tied a career-best 9.9250 to clinch the title for the Wolverines. She earned WCGA All-American on vault and all-around. As a freshman and a sophomore, she was a part of Big Ten championship squads. Before Michigan, she competed at the Southeastern Gymnastics club from 2005-2018. Her parents are John and Marie Heiskell. She graduated with a degree in applied exercise science and is working on a master’s degree in business.
