AJ Ia is listed as a tight end on most boards, but he believes he's much more than that. In fact, he believes he's one of the most multipurpose receivers in the country. "It’s pretty much my versatility,” Ia said when describing what he does best. “Coaches liked my route running and how I get moved out to the X position, outside receiver, to the inside receiver, could be on the line. It doesn’t matter to me. I’ll pretty much go wherever I’m needed, but I prefer to be more of a stand-up type of guy. I'm also a strong blocker. I pride myself in that, too.” As a junior at Orange Lutheran, Ia had 24 receptions for 362 yards and five touchdowns. His all-around game has rival Trinity League coaches comparing him to Travis Kelce.
