As a College Recruit

Late riser who had a phenomenal senior year after working as a rotational back as a junior. Has some of the best start-stop cutting ability among running backs in the 2022 cycle. Regularly jukes second-level defenders out of their shoes. Highly productive as a senior and had a few monster performances in big games. Projects as an all-purpose back due to his receiving ability out of the backfield. Tested well at TCU’s camp in the summer prior to his senior season. Does not have verified track times. Runs with pace and tempo. Looks to have solid if not good top end speed.

Ajay Allen rushes for 360 yards and 4 TD in top matchup

Charles Power

For as good as LSU QB commit Walker Howard was, you could argue Ajay Allen was the star of the Neville-St. Thomas More game. The TCU commit scored on his first two touches from scrimmage on runs from 81 and 99 yards, respectively. He had 180 yards on two carries. Allen didn't slow down, though. He scored on two other carries and finished with 360 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries.Allen showed high level burst and quickness in getting to the second level. Once in space, he ran with a slashing style showing outstanding cut-back ability, feet, vision and run tempo.

Ajay Allen has huge senior debut

Charles Power

Ajay Allen and his Neville (La.) High team opened against rival Ruston on Friday night. Allen had a monster game. He returned a kickoff for a touchdown and rushed for 137 yards and one touchdown on 12 carries. He also delivered the biggest play of the night – a 62-yard game-winning catch and run on fourth down.
