Barrett Carter is never satisfied. Even though he firmly established himself as one of the best linebackers in the country, Carter wants more. "You can never get to a point in life where you just say, 'OK, I've made it,' and just stop," Carter said. :"Regardless of what I've accomplished, or our team has accomplished, I'm always going to put in that extra work and go the extra mile. I've got to get one percent better every single day, whatever that may look like." Carter was a 2022 All-American and 2023 All-ACC selection who enters 2024 credited by the coaching staff with 170 tackles (21.0 for loss), nine sacks, 15 pass breakups, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in 1,644 career snaps over 38 games. "He's one of the best pure football players I've had in 20 years," Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said.
