As a College Recruit

It was a summer of separation for four-star PG Bishop Boswell. On a Team CP3 travel team that had multiple top-50 players, it was Boswell who led them in points, rebounds, assists, and steals during Nike’ EYBL Circuit regular season. Boswell, a former football player, has a strong frame with long arms. He can be a very good defender both on or off the ball. Offensively, Boswell is an aggressive player, touching the paint in straight lines and absorbing contact in the paint. He also developed the jump shot, shooting 36.5 percent on 3.7 attempts during the EYBL’s regular season. He was a central figure in Charlotte (NC) Myers Park run to the North Carolina state championship, as one of the team’s leading scorers throughout the playoffs as well as handling the ball and guarding the opposing team’s top perimeter threat.

Jamie ShawNational Recruiting Analyst

Bishop Boswell plays with a sense of toughness. He used his strong frame and long arms to defend the point of attack. The decision making was up and down, but with the ball in his hands, he touched the paint in the half court and knocked down some mid range jumpers.

Bishop Boswell is a tough-minded, paint-touch point guard. At 6-foot-4, he has long arms, and as a former football recruit, he brings a sense of toughness to the court. Boswell is a high-level on-ball defender. He will pick up his man for the full length of the floor and turn his man multiple times. Boswell plays well out of the pick and roll, where he makes good reads. He touches the paint in the half-court, and his decision-making is improving. The jump shot is streaky but improving. The arc on his shot can get flat at times, but he is becoming at least a threat from three. Boswell has solid straight-line burst and quick feet. He makes plays.
