Two-way playmaker with readymade size and ball skills who projects on defense long-term. Measured at over 6-foot-1, 190 pounds prior to his senior season. Owns a developed build as a high school senior. Tests as a good athlete, running an electronically-timed 4.69 40-yard dash in addition to other positive marks. Stars as a receiver and defensive back for his high school, where he’s a dominant player at the prep level. Turned in a strong senior season on both sides of the ball, hauling in 79 passes for 1,039 yards and 15 touchdowns along with two more rushing scores while also recording 45 tackles and four interceptions. A fluid, coordinated athlete. Flashes plus ball skills for a defensive prospect with the ability to track the ball over his shoulder in addition to high-pointing in traffic. Showcases playmaking ability and functional movement skills with the ball in his hands. Often lines up at corner on defense, looking smooth and controlled in man coverage. Also fared well in coverage in off-season camp settings. Strong and physical as a tackler with striking power and form tackling to drive through ball carriers. An outstanding, well-rounded high school player. Did not always face top competition. Likely projects as a safety but could potentially grow into a linebacker in time.
