Personal Life
Former West Bloomfield (Michigan) High School coach Tyrice Grice knew early on that Brandon Davis-Swain had all the tools to be one of the best players he’s ever coached. Grice, who retired after the 2022 season, first identified Davis-Swain in the eighth grade. “He has the determination to be great,” the coach told Irish Sports Daily. “He has a mindset that he wants to lead the team in everything. He’s determined, and through that determination, he’s gotten better and better. What people don't realize is Brandon was being developed as a receiver growing up. Not only just a receiver but as a tight end and defensive end as well. I think when he’d go out to camps and did his workouts, he was working out as a receiver. After his freshman year, he put on 25 pounds. He just kept growing.” During his sophomore season in 2021, Davis-Swain recorded 18 sacks and 12 tackles for loss, per M Live. He was named to the 2021 Division 1-2 Associated Press All-State football team. He backed that up with a 2022 season that saw him develop into one of the top overall players in Michigan. When he’s not participating in sports, Davis-Swain enjoys playing video games. His favorite foods are chicken and Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. He plans on majoring in engineering. His father is Brandon Davis.
