As a College Recruit

Technician at receiver who is one of the best route-runners in the 2023 cycle. Has outstanding change of direction. Advanced with his releases. Shows the ability to stack cornerbacks off the line of scrimmage. Breaks off defensive backs at the top of the route. A coordinated mover. Runs with pace after the catch. Shows some play strength as he fights through contact. Plays both outside and in the slot for his high school. Likely projects as a slot long-term. Caught 42 balls for 642 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior. Has a thinner, slight frame, measuring at 6-foot-0.5, 173 pounds with a 30.75-inch arm and smaller hands. Older for the class, turning 18 years-old during his junior year.

Bryson Rodgers turns in strong showing at Overtime OT7

Charles Power

On3 is already higher on Ohio State commit Bryson Rodgers than the rest of the industry, but the On300 prospect’s positive showing is still worth noting. We considered Rodgers as one of the 2023 cycle’s top route runners entering the event. While he lived up to those expectations, the Zephyrhills (Fla.) Wiregrass Ranch pass-catcher showed some encouraging playmaking ability after the catch, as well. Rodgers found the end zone often while playing for a 24K team that was among the better squads throughout pool play. He has a thinner frame and may not be as long as some other top receivers, but has a level of technicality that points to a high floor at the next level.

Rodgers, an On300 wide receiver committed to Ohio State, was among the consistent pass-catchers for the length of the event. The Sunshine State standout was a major reason why 24K didn’t turn in a loss during pool play. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Rodgers provided a deep threat and a big target for his quarterback. He has rare size-speed combination with home-run potential.
