Cam Coleman finishes No. 3 overall in 2024 On300

Charles Power

Coleman is the biggest freak in what is a historically strong receiver group nationally. At 6-foot-3.5, 190 pounds with 33.5-inch arms, elite bounce and high-end coordination, he sports the largest catch radius of any receiver in the cycle. He pairs the massive radius and elite ball skills with speed that measures in the 4.4’s on electronic timing systems. Adjusted for size, Coleman is the most athletic receiver in the 2024 cycle. The future Auburn Tiger exploded onto the scene in 2023 by way of strong junior film and outstanding camp performances. A relative late bloomer who could technically be a 2025 prospect due to a late birthday, Coleman had a dominant senior season, catching 61 passes for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns while leading his team to a state title in Alabama’s highest classification. He carried that over to Under Armour All-American Game practices, where he made an array of jaw-dropping plays on each day.

In the years we’ve been covering these national all-star games, no receiver has made more eye-popping, highlight plays than Cam Coleman. In a game that featured a bevy of blue-chip prospects, Cam Coleman was the bona fide athletic freak. The 6-foot-3.5, 185-pounder consistently flashed the largest catch radius at Under Armour, making acrobatic high-point grabs at an alarming rate. His one-handed touchdown grab on Day 3 was easily the catch of the week. Coleman’s elite twitch and length combine with outstanding natural ball skills and technical catching ability to present a massive red zone threat. With that said, the Auburn signee proved to be much more than a jump ball menace. Pound-for-pound, he may have had the best top-end speed of any player at Under Armour. He got deep at will against opposing corners and had multiple touchdowns that went for 40+ yards in practice. Coleman, who doesn’t turn 18 years-old until August, looks like a special talent at the position who can attack every area of the field.

Cam Coleman a huge riser in updated On300 rankings

Charles Power

The “freak” label of the wide receiver group may go to Cam Coleman (No. 20). The Phenix City (Ala.) Central playmaker was the biggest riser among wide receivers in the On300 update. Coleman looks like one of the most physically-gifted skill players in the 2024 cycle. He is a twitchy, bouncy athlete at over 6-foot-2, 180-pounds. We saw Coleman easily separate from some top corners as a junior. He also has plus length with a 6-foot-9 wing-span. The athleticism carries over to the basketball court, where he throws down eye-popping dunks with regularity.

No pass catcher on hand at Under Armour had a better combination of size, catch radius and twitch than Cam Coleman. The 6-foot-2.5, 180-pounder showcased a high-end athleticism and a translatable skill set over the course of the afternoon. Coleman’s release package and burst off the line was outstanding. He stacked cornerbacks off the line on the majority of 1-on-1 reps. We also saw some encouraging shake and polish in his routes. The ball skills also checked out, as Coleman used his length and coordination to make a number of grabs away from his body.
