As a College Recruit

Tall safety who hails from one of the top NFL factory high school programs. Among the taller, rangier safeties in the 2023 cycle, measuring around 6-foot-2.5, 170 pounds. Has a thinner frame that will need to continue filling out at the college level. A well-schooled safety who plays both deep and in the box at American Heritage. Recognizes route concepts and breaks on the ball. Willing to get physical and isn’t shy in lowering his shoulder. Was a top performer at Overtime’s OT7 7-on-7 tournament prior to his senior season, making a number of plays on the ball in coverage. No athletic testing or track times to speak of.

Daemon Fagan turns in strong showing at Overtime OT7

Charles Power

Daemon Fagan nearly made the Overall Top Performers at OT7 after coming down with several interceptions. Fagan had some key plays for the champion South Florida Express team and was part of a secondary that spurred the title run. The Fort Lauderdale American Heritage product was among the taller safeties on hand at 6-foot-3 and used his length to disrupt passing lanes. The compressed nature of 7-on-7 played to Fagan’s strengths. His range was amplified playing in goal line situations. The ball skills and instincts to make some critical plays in coverage stood out. Fagan ranks as the No. 224 overall prospect and No. 22 safety in the On300. His d a route and picked off Dante Moore during the championship game on Sunday.

The surplus of talent in the SFE secondary opened up opportunities for playmaking safeties like Fagan, who made a habit out of game-sealing interceptions during pool play and on Championship Sunday. The long 6-foot-3, 175-pound safety moves well and reacts even better, and can close in a hurry. He’s long with good range, and certainly showed his knack for big plays in Sin City.
