Dashawn Womack earns 5th star from On3

LSU EDGE commit Dashawn Womack earns his fifth star from On3, checking at No. 21 overall in the updated rankings. Womack has turned in a strong senior season while playing a national schedule at Baltimore St. Frances Academy. He looks to be one of the more polished pass rushers in what is a strong cycle at the EDGE position. Womack's combination of ready-made size, high-end verified athleticism, pass rush skills and physicality result in an EDGE prospect with few tangible holes at this stage.

Dashawn Womack rises in On3 rankings

LSU EDGE commit Dashawn Womack (No. 28) has put together some strong showings while playing a national schedule at Baltimore St. Frances Academy. The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder was virtually unblockable against DeSoto (Texas) High, one of the Lone Star State’s top program. Womack’s ready-made size, plus athleticism (laser timed 4.76 second 40-yard dash) and pass rush polish give him one of the highest floors top top EDGE prospects.

Dashawn Womack a Top Performer at Under Armour Future 50

Dashawn Womack made a case as the most refined pass rusher on hand at Future 50. The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder had a patient approach to his pass rush that translates well to the next level. While others enter each rep with a pre-meditated move, Womack was able to read and react to the offensive tackles’ movements. This ability, along with his plus athleticism led to a number of impressive moments for the Baltimore St. Frances Academy star. We saw Womack win the majority of his reps aside from the final instance against Francis Mauigoa. Womack has the pass rush skills to stay on the outside long-term despite being heavier than most true EDGE prospects at this stage.
