Devan Houstan

Fluid, active defensive lineman with upside. A big, loose athlete who pairs good size at around 6-foot-5, 270 pounds with functional movement skills. Grew up in Canada and made the transition to American high school football relatively seamlessly. Has only played football for a few years. Had a productive junior season while playing on both sides of the ball averaging around one sack per game. Shows very good bend and flexibility. Plays low and fires off the snap. Flashes quick hands and some burgeoning pass rush moves. Natural movement skills also show up with his closing speed behind the line of scrimmage. Older brother Caleb Houstan was a top high school basketball prospect before heading to Michigan. Has shown a continual progression since arriving to the United States and has the look of a prospect who will continue to progress with more experience.
