Dusty Stromer

Dusty Stromer’s basketball bonafides trace back decades. His grandfather was Dick Tinkham, the co-founder of the ABA and the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers were the best team in the ABA, winning three titles. “The Pacers were a stable franchise in an unstable league,” Bob Costas told the IndyStar after Tinkham’s death in 2018. “The Pacers and their ownership and the quality of their franchise were one of the things that held the league together.” Tinkham, who played basketball at DePauw, later chaired the merger of the ABA into the NBA in 1976. Stromer’s father, Eric Stromer, has hosted multiple home improvement and do-it-yourself television shows.
