Eric Reibe
As a College Recruit
Eric Reibe is a skilled left big man. Listed at 7-foot-0, he has nice length and is comfortable with the ball in his hands and asked to make a play. Reibe has shooting range that extends beyond the three-point arc. He is a threat as a pick-and-pop big man. Originally from Germany, Reibe has consistently been injured since coming over the the United States. Reibe would prefer to play facing the basket, and he is a solid passer from the elbows and the mid-post. He can score on the block, especially comfortable getting over his right shoulder. There are some toughness questions floating around with regard Reibe. He will need to continue getting stronger, this will help him hold a better position and not get knocked off his spots. He has a good feel with the ball in his hands. Reibe finds mismatches well and knows how to get to his spots effectively and efficiently to get into an area he can make a play. He has a nice projectable frame that should continue to add weight as he advances into a college strength and conditioning program. Staying healthy will be the first step for Reibe, and continuing to grow his physicality will be another. With his skill set, there is a lot to like. At his size, no matter the setting (high school, travel, camp, etc.) he has been able to find favorable matchups and make a play.
