As a College Recruit

Pure passer who is one of the more natural throwers in the 2024 cycle. Measured in at around 6-foot-2, 190 pounds with a 9.5-inch hand prior to his senior season. Parlayed a strong showing on the camp circuit and Elite 11 Finals into a productive final prep campaign. Considerably improved his production as a senior, passing for 3,517 yards and 39 touchdowns against nine interceptions. Has a fluid throwing motion and natural, easy release. Loose and limber in his upper and lower body movements. Has shown a live arm in multiple settings. Capable of making far hash throws with ease. Comfortable throwing over the middle of the field and can fit throws into small windows. Effectively layers his passes, delivering with touch. Has fluid footwork. Capable of going through multiple progressions to find open receivers and has solid movement skills to make off-schedule plays. Still, is at his best as a pocket passer. Though he made notable improvement as a senior, can continue honing his decision-making and increasing his overall consistency as he can still be loose with the ball at times. Has room to continue developing and the upside to be one of the better passers in the 2024 cycle.

Ethan Grunkemeyer turns in strong showing at Elite 11 Finals

Charles Power

Ethan Grunkemeyer finished as On3's No. 3 Top Performer at the Elite 11 Finals. He was perhaps the most pleasant surprise at the Elite 11 Finals. The Penn State pledge flashed arguably the most explosive arm action at the event. From early on in Day 1, the ball jumped out of Grunkemeyer’s hand. He easily drove the ball downfield on a line – as well as anyone. The Lewis Center (Ohio) Olentangy product was the On3 MVP on Day 1 with a very impressive day in drill work. He backed that up with a strong showing during his pro day, flashing loose, coordinated movements to go with his plus arm. Grunkemeyer had an up and down 7-on-7 session on Day 3 but still made a number of high level throws. He showed he could go throw for throw alongside the best quarterback prospects in the cycle.
