Evan Stewart a top performer at Under Armour All-America Game

Charles Power

Evan Stewart entered the week as the No. 1 wide receiver in the cycle and looked the part. He was the toughest cover among a loaded receiver group all week at practice. The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder uses his outstanding initial and releases off the line to create immediate separation. Stewart also has some of the best long speed in the cycle, which he used to pull away from almost every defensive back he went against throughout the week. Stewart had a relatively quiet game with two drops including one that was looking into the sun. With that said, he still got behind the Team Legends secondary on several occasions. Stewart may have had a few touchdowns had the Team Icons quarterbacks hit him in stride. The Texas A&M signee has the best combination of explosive athleticism and technical receiver skills in what is a loaded cycle at the position.

The blue-chip receiver had made a number of high-level plays, looking like the nation's No. 1 wide receiver prospect in the process. It remains to be seen if we'll see Stewart on the all-star circuit after the season.

Evan Stewart has huge game against Greenville

Charles Power

Five-star receiver Evan Stewart had one of the more productive games of his high school career with 11 catches for 211 yards and a touchdown against Greenville, Texas. We've seen a number of different defensive approaches to guarding the top-five prospect. This week, Greenville played in excess of 10 yards off the line. Stewart ate them up on short passes, maximizing yards after the catch. He continues to look like one of the better receiver prospects in a few cycles.

Evan Stewart rated as a 5-star in initial On300

Charles Power

Evan Stewart checks the boxes of an elite receiver prospect. First, he’s a big-play threat on Friday nights at Frisco (Texas) Liberty. As a junior, Stewart averaged over 20 yards per catch for 906 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games. He blows by opposing corners and demands bracket coverage – which he often beats. Stewart’s athleticism shows up on the track, as well. He owns times of 10.58 seconds and 21.08 seconds in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, respectively. The 5-foot-11.5, 170-pounder also has a 24-plus-foot long jump to his name. It’s also encouraging to see Stewart’s technical progress as a route-runner over the offseason. He turned in a standout performance at Future 50 and has been uncoverable at multiple events. If we’re making a player comparison, the five-star’s athletic traits and play style remind us a bit of Odell Beckham Jr.
