Personal Life
Gentry Williams missed most of his junior season of football and track because of surgery on Sept. 18, 2020, to repair a torn ACL. In 2019, Williams ran the nation’s third-fastest freshman 400-meter time (47.70) in winning the Oklahoma Class 6A state title. He was also second in the 200 meters. When he was eight years old, Williams, running for the Oklahoma Jaguars Track Club, broke two national age-group records in the 200 meters and 400 meters at the USA Track & Field National Junior Olympics. In 2018, he helped Booker T. to the Class 6A-II state semifinals. Then as a sophomore, he helped Booker T. earn a playoff berth by playing quarterback and cornerback. Williams' parents are Thomas and Ureka Williams. Both attended Fisk University. His sister is Claire Williams. He lists his hobbies as having fun with his family.
