Personal Life

Grace Knox overcame a lot of obstacles to become one of the best women's basketball players in the country. As a freshman she led Spring Valley High in Las Vegas to the NIAA 5A semifinals by averaging 13.9 points and 9.8 rebounds. But after transferring to Centennial in the Las Vegas area, she didn't play in her sophomore season because of a back fracture. She eventually transferred to Etiwanda in the Los Angeles area and stayed focused on her rehabilitation. The focus paid off as she returned in the 2023-2024 season as one of the most dominating players around. "It (injury) was a consistent thing over time,” Knox told the Daily Bulletin. “In a game once I landed wrong and it just collapsed on me. It was a long road with my injury. Knowing I still had my old self and being able to add to my game is something I’m glad I accomplished.” Etiwanda coach Stan Delus says Knox – who averaged 17.2 points and 11.9 rebounds as a junior – is the type of player that can just take over a game. "She's one of those players that can make the big shot, get the big rebound and not be afraid of the moment."
