Haley Cavinder
Personal Life
Haley Cavinder and her sister, Hanna, forever changed fans understanding of NIL. When NIL launched on July 1, 2021, the Cavinder Twins announced three major brand deals – including one with Boost Mobile in Times Square – to their millions of followers on social media. They would go on to become the face of the NIL Era with countless partnerships and major media attention. The twins defined what it means to control the NIL market. After a successful run at Fresno State, the twins transferred to Miami for the 2022-2023 season. The twins spent one year in Coral Gables before retiring and focusing on their influencer brand. However, Haley decided to return to basketball – announcing in October 2023 that she was transferring to TCU for the 2024-2025 season. She then would later pivot and return to Miami after Hanna revealed she was returning for a final season of college basketball in Coral Gables. Regardless of the success in NIL, Haley was just as successful on the court. During her junior season at Fresno State, Cavinder set the NCAA record for free-throw percentage in a season, converting 109-of-112 for 97.3 percent. She also became just the third player in Mountain West history, and the first since 2006, to lead the league in scoring and rebounding. At Miami, Haley was a second-team All-ACC pick after averaging 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in the 2022-2023 season.
