As a Recruit
Personal Life
Hank Bachmeier was an On3 Consensus four-star prospect coming out of Murrieta (California) Valley High School in the 2019 recruiting class. Before picking Boise State, Bachmeier was also offered by Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Cal and others. Bachmeier started 29 games in his four-year Broncos’ career, including his first game as a collegian when he rallied Boise State past host Florida State 36-31 in the 2019 opener. Bachmeier threw for 407 yards in that game, but that was a career highlight of sorts. He reached the 300-yard mark just twice more at Boise before entering the Transfer Portal after the 2022 season. He finished his time with the Broncos with 6,605 yards and 41 TDs but also 19 interceptions. Because of the NCAA’s “COVID year,” Bachmeier had two seasons of eligibility remaining when he entered the portal.
