Scouting Journals for Jackson McAndrew

With Jackson McAndrew it all centers around the shooting, that is his super power. McAndrew stands every bit of 6-8/6-9.m and he has long arms with a very projectable frame. He shot 40-plus percent from three on high volume Nike’s EYCL this summer. The shooting of movement was particularly interesting. He showed great footwork with natural balance. He is able to stay square and slide into space when receiving the pass or pulling up off the bounce. He also has some toughness, despite his skinny frame, getting on the boards. He is a solid team defender and can straight line drive close outs. He will need to continue adding weight, that will take a little time. He could tighten the handle some, continue learning his spots in the half court and getting to them. McAndrew had a very productive past 12 months and he continues to develop at a rapid trajectory.
